Electrical Engineering Department Mission

“To Produce competent and skillful Electrical Engineers with profound and in-depth knowledge to provide socio-economical solutions of complex engineering problems by following professional ethics.”

Program Educational Objectives (PEO’s)

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) are broad statements consistent with the department’s and institute’s mission and vision, and describes the expected achievements of graduates in their career and professional life 3-5 years after graduation. Following are the new approved PEOs of Electrical Engineering Department:

PEO 1

Apply engineering knowledge and technological skills for design and development of solution for complex engineering problems.

PEO 2

Provide sustainable and environment friendly solutions of technical problems for the betterment of society.

PEO 3

Exhibit ethical and moral values while working with different industries and research institutes.

PEO 4

Demonstrate leadership qualities and managerial skills to manage projects in multidisciplinary environment.

Strategic Plans to Achieve the PEOs

The following strategic characteristics and aspirations will enable the department to realize its vision and mission of electrical department:

SP1: The department considers its faculty members as an important element of strategic plan and aims to induct more faculty members with higher education and having academic distinctions. Currently, the faculty members have expertise in Power Systems, Telecommunications and Electronics.

SP2: The department encourages its faculty members to pursue higher studies and to play an active role by involving students in research through their participation in conferences, seminars and workshops.

SP3: The department has well established 13 laboratories including 2 computer laboratories where extensive trainings are provided to students in the form of experiments and practical demonstration.

SP4: Undergraduate curriculum that emphasize breadth and depth of education, which link to areas contiguous to Electrical Engineering.

SP5: Educational and research partnerships with other national Universities

SP6: Highly successful alumni who contribute to the profession in the global society.

SP7: QCET has an up-to-date library which contains a large number of books related to different engineering topics.

SP8: Different workshops relevant to entrepreneurship and project management are arranged frequently to develop leadership skills.
